Vincent Oluoch - Project Manager

Vincent Oduka Oluoch is the current Project Manager of KECOBAT. He holds a degree in tourism Management from Moi University and has been with Kecobat from 2010 having worked with the then Ministry Of Tourism and Wildlife on attachment basis and as a banker with a local bank.

Vincent got a chance to work with Uganda community Tourism Association for one year where he widely   contributed in the conception and steering of the development of a homestay operations guidelines that sought to recognize, and standardize operations of homestays in Uganda.

He is currently pursuing a masters degree in Tourism and Environment through the Netherlands Fellowship programme at the Wageningen University, Netherlands.

Vincent is passionate and explores projects that link tourism development and conservation from a sustainable Livelihood perspective

The Kenya Community Based Tourism Network (KECOBAT) network was launched in August 2003 as a membership umbrella organization representing the interest of Community Based Tourism (CBT) organizations in Kenya.

It aims to facilitate information sharing; delivering appropriate technical support and advisory services; mediating and lobbying their interests to government and other relevant institutions and thereby integrating community concerns into national tourism.
